Description: Vantage Apparel, a midsize manufacturer, is the nation’s top source for custom logo apparel, with key end clients including Fortune 500 companies, resorts, golf courses, colleges, and casinos. If you’ve been to a store that has employees wearing shirts with logos, there is a very good chance that the product or logo decoration was done by Vantage Apparel. We’ve been the leading innovator in the promotional apparel industry since 1977, and we are looking to hire a Screen Print Lead Printer that exemplifies the innovation for which Vantage Apparel is known.

The Screen Print Lead Printer is the primary individual responsible for ensuring that a quality order is produced. He or she will be tasked with setup, loading and overall quality of the order being processed. They communicate their needs to their team and direct them accordingly to maximize output. They are the setup person for the machine; ensuring final product matches approved art.

The Screen Print Lead Printer will:
  • Read and understand work order for job being produced.
  • Inspect screens prior to setup to ensure accuracy.
  • Install screens in press in correct print order.
  • Add correct PMS Color to screens.
  • Register job using Tri-Loc System and manual adjustments.
  • Bring sample print to Screen Print Manager for approval.
  • Verify correct quantities were pulled using on press counter.
  • Replace any shortages or damages.
  • Scan order into Production Tracking.
  • Communicate needs to catcher and unloader.
  • Operate the press in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Continually monitor the production of job for quality purposes.
  • Ensure team is adhering to all applicable safety standards.
  • Train team members in all areas needed.
  • Mix ink as needed for orders.
  • Problem solve issues with press during production.
Qualifications: • Must have knowledge of plastisol inks and variables involved in their use: Pressure, Squeegee Speed, Flash Gel time, use of pallet adhesiv etc…
