Description: Vantage Apparel, a midsize manufacturer, is the nation’s top source for custom logo apparel, with key end clients including Fortune 500 companies, resorts, golf courses, colleges, and casinos. If you’ve been to a store that has employees wearing shirts with logos, there is a very good chance that the product or logo decoration was done by Vantage Apparel. We’ve been the leading innovator in the promotional apparel industry since 1977, and we are looking to add a Customer Systems Integration Specialist to our award-winning team.

In recent years, there has been an industry-wide push to establish system-to-system integrations between customers, vendors and manufacturing partners, enabling a fully hands-off order-entry process. The successful candidate will be the subject matter expert for data integration serving as the primary resource for integration projects with existing customers, as well as the primary technical resource for our salesforce in establishing an integrated order relationship with new customers. The successful candidate will feel equally comfortable interacting with the customer as he/she would with I.T. professionals. It’s a unique position for that candidate who enjoys working and interacting with customers, yet has the interest and skills to be in the information technology world.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Understands and is proficient with order entry systems, ERP
  • Working with various stakeholders to develop systems integration based on specific requirements
  • Knowledge of XML, APIs, file transfer protocols and data ransformation preferred, as well as basic knowledge of FTP and EDI
  • Excellent demonstrated Excel skills with prior experience pivot tables, V lookups
  • Demonstrated ability to work with external customers, outsides sales reps and information technology employees
  • Interact and collaborate with internal and external clients to understand data specifications and resolve data load issues
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Complete understanding of company policies, product line, pricing structure and service
  • Basic understanding of relational databases
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Position may require the need to travel to other meeting locations in the United States
Qualifications:
  • BS degree in related field required
  • MS Excel – must be proficient, with demonstrated knowledge of XML, APIs, file transfer protocols and data transformation preferred, as well as basic knowledge of FTP and EDI
  • Web internet – navigation of Web a must
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite
  • A self-starter with proven organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated art/creative knowledge a plus
