Description: Vantage Apparel, a midsize manufacturer, is the nation’s top source for custom logo apparel, with key end clients including Fortune 500 companies, resorts, golf courses, colleges, and casinos. If you’ve been to a store that has employees wearing shirts with logos, there is a very good chance that the product or logo decoration was done by Vantage Apparel. We’ve been the leading innovator in the promotional apparel industry since 1977.

We are looking to hire an Inside Sales Representative to help exemplify the innovation for which Vantage Apparel is known.

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for assisting our Outside Sales Representatives in closing sales after leads are generated from their in-person meetings, tradeshows, and product presentations. This can involve providing product and merchandising suggestions, brainstorming unique decoration options based on the logo, creating virtual mockups of how the apparel and logo decoration might look together, and quoting the price to the distributor based on the specific needs of their project.

Another key function of the Inside Sales Representative will be proactive business development. The Inside Sales Representative will connect with clients and generate leads through various creative methods, including: hosting webinars, holding virtual meetings, creating targeted email campaigns, speaking with clients on the phone, and using any other unique way to get in front of clients and educate them about Vantage. The Inside Sales Representative will have flexibility to generate and implement new ways to connect with clients.

The Inside Sales Representative will:

  • Generate new business opportunities through creative methods, including webinars, virtual meetings, email campaigns, and phone calls.
  • Develop new and creative ways to connect with customers and educate them about Vantage Apparel’s vast offerings.
  • Collaborate with customers and Outside Sales Representatives to creatively merchandise the Vantage product line with unique decoration methods.
  • Respond in a timely manner to customer inquiries relating to the Vantage Apparel product line, services, merchandising, graphics, and quote requests.
  • Provide pricing for high volume product, decoration, and freight.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Inside Sales Manager and National Sales Manager.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate has experience in the promotional-products industry and also experience with sales and marketing; however, we hire star performers with a passion to succeed, not backgrounds. If you have the “stuff,” we’ll know, and we will train someone who has everything we want.

You must be awesome at opening doors and connecting with clients. Must be highly self-motivated, a terrific presenter and communicator, and excellent at follow-up.

The candidate should also possess the following skills or meet the following criteria:

  • A terrific presenter and communicator. You are able to talk to small groups of people, digitally and in person, and present our business to them while commanding their attention and conveying a sense of energy and excitement.
  • The ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner.
  • A high level of intellectual curiosity and willing to ask questions and seek information as needed to complete projects and tasks.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and be detail-oriented. You must be able to organize client interactions and projects in a meaningful manner.
  • The ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work as a team member and to interact successfully with people at all levels within and outside of the organization in support of larger goals and objectives.
  • Can work independently on projects with little supervision.
  • A high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers, and management.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of the apparel business and/or the Promotional Products Industry is preferred.
  • Sales and/or marketing experience preferred.
  • Experience with CRM and email marketing software (e.g. Mailchimp, Constant Contact) preferred.
  • Proven ability to communicate creative solutions with confidence, ease and clarity.
  • Must own or have ongoing consistent access to reliable independent transportation.
